Vocabulary Bacteriophage- any of a group of viruses that infect specific bacteria, usually causing their disintegration or dissolution.

Parasite- an organism that lives on or in an organism of another species, from the body of which it obtains nutriment.

 

 

Virus- Microorganisms consisting of DNA and RNA molecules wrapped in a protective coating of proteins. Viruses are the most primitive form of life. They depend on other living cells for their reproduction and growth.
Host- a living animal or plant from which a parasite obtains
Vaccine- a substance made from the germs that cause a particular disease, especially smallpox, and given to a person or animal to prevent him from catching that disease
