| First Reconciliation & First Eucharist | |
| Holy
Rosary's program of preparation is a family-centered process available to
any baptized child who has reached the 2nd grade. Parents and child
attend three learning sessions together and then are given a child's
booklet to complete together at home.
First Reconciliation sessions occur in the Fall with a child's retreat and the family celebration of the sacrament taking place in early winter. First Eucharist sessions begin mid-winter and conclude with a family retreat and the celebration of the sacrament in the spring. Registration for these sacramental programs can be made on our registration form. For more information on the Sacraments of First Reconciliation or First Eucharist, contact JoAnne Knuttila or Jean Olson. |

| Confirmation | |
| Available
to baptized adults and youth who have reached the 10th grade level.
Adult formation will be determined upon an interview. High school
youth must attend Sunday Eucharist, register, and attend a two year
bi-monthly class and a Confirmation retreat. The Confirmation
candidate must also be in an ongoing relationship with their Sponsor in a
service, prayer and study process. Preparation begins in the Fall.
For more information on the Sacrament of Confirmation, contact Barbara Schmidt. |

| Preparation for Infant Baptism | |
| Baptism is a time of great joy for our community as we claim a new member for Christ. It is also a moment of serious thought about our commitment to our Christ. In the formal Rite of Baptism parents publicly accept the responsibility of training their child in the practice of the faith and to bring them up to keep God's commandments by loving God and loving neighbor. The godparents publicly declare their duty to help the parents in this task. It is our aim to provide catechesis to assist the parents and godparents in preparing and executing these commitments. If possible, we encourage this catechesis to take place before the birth of the child. Father Jerry or Deacons Jim or Red will help you with arrangements for an infant baptism at Holy Rosary. | |
| Preparation for Marriage | |
| "In
virtue of the sacrament of marriage, married Christians signify and share
in the mystery of the unity and fruitful love that exists between Christ
and his Church; they thus help each other to attain holiness in their
married life and in welcoming and rearing children; and they have their
own special place and gift among the people of God" (Introduction
to the Rite of Marriage). Holy Rosary Catholic
Community offers a unique Marriage Preparation Program for engaged
couples. Beside the time spent with Father and/or one of the
Deacons, the Parish offers a Pre-Marriage Program of five practical
sessions to help you prepare to BE and BECOME what the sacrament of
marriage calls you to be. This program, taught and facilitated by
parish members, is also offered for couples recently married that would
like to share in an experience that will surely enrich their
relationship.
Please contact Father Jerry or Deacons Jim or Red for more information (847-1393). |

| Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) | |
| RCIA is the process for bringing new members into the Catholic Church. Christian Initiation is called a process rather than a program because catechists and sponsors act as guides on the spiritual journey. The process comes to its climax at the Easter Vigil with the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. The life-long faith journey continues as the new member becomes involved in ministry and ongoing adult faith formation. | |
