Youth Ministry Mission Statement: |

By grace we are created, called and chosen for God's Kingdom. With Jesus as head of our church and at the core of our ministry, our mission is to: enable youth to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ in an environment that fosters spiritual growth, explores truth, expresses faith, experiences God and embraces community, so they develop holistically, intellectually, emotionally, spiritually, physically and socially (Luke 2:52) to know Christ as their Lord and Savior. | 9th - 12th grade Adult Youth Ministry Board | |||
| Met on October 8th, there was discussion on how to get more youth involved in different ministries in our parish, the upcoming fundraisers, and mission trips to Red Lake reservation, Mexico and the pilgrimage to Rome. The board discussed ideas on how to bring kids together once a month on a Saturday evening, parent involvement and music. The next meeting with be Thursday, November 5th at 6:30 p.m. in the office conference room. New adult members are always welcome. | |||

| The diocese is partnering with Youth Works (national mission trip organization) to host a first diocesan wide mission trip in our diocese. | |||

| Rome Pilgrimage | May 31st-June 7th, 2010 | ||

| Enjoy a seven day pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi, visiting Ancient Rome, Catacombs, St. Paul outside the Walls, Papal Audience, Vatican Museum, Basilica of St. Peter, Major Basilicas, and traveling to Assisi, spending an evening in one of their local hotels, while visiting the sites associated with St. Francis and St. Clare. | |||
| You will enjoy the local restaurants, barter with the local vendors, walking the ancient streets of Rome and Assis while enjoying a festive farewell dinner the last evening before we depart for home. | |||

| What a wonderful way to end your senior year, experiencing God's great love by helping out at the orphanages, eye clinic, and La Familia we work at. We may be repairing a building, painting one of the dorms, preparing a meal, cleaning a court yard, and fitting glasses, while interacting with the kids and adults. We will also be experiencing Old Mexico, the cathedral, the fine cuisine Mazatlan has to offer, staying at one of the hotels on the Golden Zone, only steps away from the ocean. | |||
